A search across the nation has taken place to find the UK?s ultimate Family Guy look-a-like, with almost 5,000 fans of the show flocking to the UK Family Guy Facebook page to enter. From Peter Griffin wannabes to Quagmire doppelgangers, the entries all managed to encompass the Family Guy spirit, but only one could be crowned the UK?s Ultimate Family Guy Look-a-Like.
The judges? decision to crown the winner was unanimous with Peter Brearly, 56 from Halifax, West Yorkshire, taking the coveted prize for his uncanny likeness to Peter Griffin.
Peter was thrilled to win commenting: ?I just couldn?t believe my luck when this competition came up. I didn?t even notice I looked like Peter Griffin until they nicknamed me Griffin at my local opera group. Now that I?ve won I?m even considering going one step further and changing my surname to Griffin. And to think, I almost didn?t apply because I?m pretty lazy just like Family Guy?s Peter and I find the TV remote much easier to work than a computer!?
The search was launched to mark the DVD release of Family Guy Season 9 out on Monday from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.
