Yes it is true. The next Sharknado movie is subtitles Sharknado The 4th Awakens.
Great Star Wars pun? I have typed it 3 times now and am already bored of it.
Syfy has announced the premier date for the fourth instalment of the Sharknado franchise, Sharknado: The 4th Awakens. In the USA anyway it will be Sunday, July 31 at 8 p.m. ET. I am sure it won’t be long after that that us Brits get it.
Sharknado 4 (I won’t use that sub title again) follows five years after the events of Sharknado 3 (Oh Hell No! I so much prefer that title). But after a period of calm the sharks filled whirl winds are back. Obviously.
Tara Reid will reprise her role as April, revealing the character’s fate after fans voted to decide whether she lives or dies in the sequel. Oh yes we did that didn’t we. I know how I voted.
TV Channel SyFy forgets about Doctor Who and tells us this quite cool news. We have comparison images and video below.
Among the longest-running and most popular science fiction franchise in television history, Syfy will become the first channel to bring UK fans Star Trek: The Next Generation in high-definition. In an added incentive to the film-makers, for the first time ever, a new award for Emerging Talent will be presented by Syfy , the premium imagination-based entertainment channel.
The challenge has a formidable pedigree: over the last four years more than 380 films have been completed, many of which have gone to other film festivals and been broadcast on TV. In 2008, Gareth Edwards took part in and won the competition ? his award-winning d?but feature, MONSTERS was green-lit due to Vertigo Films seeing his film in the challenge.
The challenge jury is made up of equally illustrious industry professionals including: Alison Owen, Producer (Shaun of the Dead, Men Who Stare at Goats); Joe Dante , Director (Gremlins, Innerspace, Explorers); Mark Dinning, Editor , EMPIRE magazine ; Liz Harkham (Encounters Short Film Film Festival); Don Neumann , Editor-in-Chief, Quiet Earth magazine; Paul Cornell , Writer (Dr Who, Spooks).
Teams have until Monday morning to return their completed movie to the festival, either on DVD or by uploading a QuickTime file to UBUNTU ONE. ? Ubuntu One is the personal cloud service that gives you 5GB of free space to store content, access and share it from all of your devices.
