BBC Store will launched this lost set of episodes, freshly animated from original set photos on the 50th anniversary of the start of the serial.
This post is an update to our original Awaiting Power Of The Daleks post after rumours that a big announcement was going to be made.

The Power of the Daleks is the completely missing third serial of the fourth season in the British science fiction television series Doctor Who, which was first broadcast in six weekly parts from 5 November to 10 December 1966. It is the first full story to feature Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor. Although audio recordings, still photographs, and clips of the story exist, no episodes of this serial are known to have survived.

Although the tapes were lost long ago, now, with the help of surviving photographs and footage, BBC Worldwide are delighted to announce that a brand new black and white animation, accompanied by an original audio recording, will be released 50 years to the day after the story’s original broadcast.
Episode one of The Power of the Daleks will be available to buy from BBC Store on Saturday 5th November, and the remaining episodes will be released over the following five days.
