The official Harry Potter UK page on Facebook this week acquired its 500,000th fan, breaking all previously held records for a UK Facebook film page*.
Emma Watson marked the start of a 100 day countdown to the opening of Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallow ? Part 1 in UK cinemas, by inviting people to Join The Final Battle application. Sporting a brand new hair cut and with a 100 tickets to the London World Premiere to give away, this launched what has gone on to become the biggest film page in UK Facebook history.
Loyal supporters, who are currently joining up at a rate of one every 4 seconds, have been treated to exclusive images, had questions answered by the films stars and been rewarded with personal messages from Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson.
*Toy Story previously held the record for a UK Facebook film page with 423,058 fans
