Twentieth Century Fox are set to revive the terrifying classic tale with a fresh perspective in 3D. POLTERGEIST will be released in UK and Ireland cinemas on Friday 22nd May 2015.
Legendary filmmaker Sam Raimi (Spider-Man, The Grudge) and director Gil Kenan contemporise the classic tale about a family whose suburban home is haunted by evil forces. When the terrifying apparitions escalate their attacks and hold the youngest daughter captive, the family must come together to rescue her before she disappears forever.
The film stars Sam Rockwell (Moon), Rosemarie DeWitt (Rachel Getting Married), Jared Harris (Mad Men) and Jane Adams (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind).
Directed by Gil Kenan (Monster House), written by David Lindsay-Abaire (Rabbit Hole) and produced by Sam Raimi (Evil Dead), Roy Lee (The Woman in Black) and Rob Tapert (Drag Me to Hell).
